why wont my sewing machine needle catch the bobbin thread?

I have a bernette 65 for about two months and it has been working great until now. I am a pretty experienced sewer and it seems that the needle thread isn’t catching the bobbin thread, causing the sewing machine to simply not sew a stich. I have rethread the machine multiple times, cleaned it, oiled it, rethread the bobbin, changed the needle, changed the thread, and changed the fabric. Any ideas on what could possibly be going on with my machine?
